Apple has announced a new iPad Pro and iPad Air at its latest big reveal event – and both devices are available to preorder now. I've gathered together where you can buy these new tablets right here, including all of the top preorder deals for the brand-new iPad Pro and iPad Air.

Let's start with the iPad Pro (2024). This model is available in either 11 inches or 13 inches with up to 2TB of storage and prices start at $999 / £999 / AUS$1,699. That's $200 more than the base price for both previous-generation models, but you do get the brand-new M4 chip, high-quality tandem OLED display and twice as much storage (256GB) as standard.

Meanwhile, the new iPad Air 6 also has 11-inch and 13-inch models with storage starting at 128GB. Prices start at $599 / £599 / AUS$999 for the 11-inch version and $799 / £799 / AUS$1,299 for the 13-inch – that's the same as the last generation model. In terms of new features, the latest iPad Air is powered by the M2 chip for up to 50% faster performance compared to the M1.

Both devices are available to order right now and will ship from May 15. Currently, I'm only seeing them direct from Apple and at Amazon in the US. Some retailers have announced preorders are coming soon, so check in regularly for all the latest availability below. I'll be here to share any of the best preorder deals we see – if any – over the coming days.

iPad Pro and iPad Air preorders in the US

Apple Store:

Apple Store: preorders live – save up to $580 with trade-in
Naturally, the official Apple Store is one of the first places to open up preorders for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air. Both devices are in stock now from $599 for the Air and $999 for the Pro. Shipping is expected to start next week in time for delivery on May 15. While there are no deals available, you can trade in your existing device to get a healthy discount of up to $580 on either of the new tablets. A good trade-in rebate that's tough to beat for those looking to upgrade.

Amazon:

Amazon: Pro and Air available now from $599
Amazon has added the latest Pro and Air models to its landing page dedicated to the iPad lineup. Both the 11-inch and 13-inch versions of the iPad Pro and iPad Air are now available to preorder with delivery expected on May 15. Unsurprisingly, there are no discounts yet, but Amazon has dropped the price of new Apple tech by up to $100 before launch in the past. We'll keep an eye out. Don't worry if you preorder now and a discount is added later as you'll always pay the lowest price before the release date.

Best Buy:

Best Buy: expect big trade-in discounts
No word yet from Best Buy on preorders for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air just yet, but it could be a good one to look out for if you have a device to trade in. The retailer offered a huge discount of up to $600 on the MacBook Air M3 recently, so we're hoping for something similar with these new iPad. My Best Buy members will also want to check here, too, as there's a good chance of exclusive savings on the new tablets.

B&H Photo:

B&H Photo: preorders coming soon
Specialist electronics retailer B&H Photo has confirmed that preorders for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air are "coming soon" before the tablets go out for shipping next week. Expect to see them on the landing page we've linked in the days ahead. This could be a good place to shop as we've seen a small discount of up to $50 on some models during previous iPad launches at this retailer.

iPad Pro and iPad Air preorders in the UK

Apple Store:

Apple Store: preorders live – save up to £615 with trade-in
Over in the UK, you can currently preorder the new iPad Pro and iPad Air at the official Apple Store. Orders for both devices are being taken now with a starting price of £599 for the Air and £999 for the Pro. Delivery is expected on May 15. Unfortunately, there are no big preorder deals here, but if you have an existing device you want to trade in then you can save up to £615 off either of the new tablets. That's likely one of the highest trade-in discounts we'll see.

Amazon:

Amazon: check the latest availability
There's a big store page for the full iPad range at Amazon that should be updated with the new models very soon. The mega-retailer doesn't tend to offer trade-in rebates on a lot of products so this likely won't be the best place to shop if you have a device to sell for an upgrade. Instead, we're hopeful it may offer a small discount on the new iPad Air and Pro.

Currys:

Currys: preorders coming soon
It's not possible to buy the new iPad Pro or iPad Air at Currys just yet, but the retailer does have a placeholder page live. You can enter your details to be told when the new devices are on sale, but we expect they should pop up in the next 24 hours.

iPad Pro and iPad Air preorders in Australia

Apple Store:

Apple Store: preorders live – save up to AU$825 with trade-in
If you're Down Under, preorders for the new iPad Pro and iPad Air are open at the official Apple Store with a starting price of AU$999 for the Air and AU$1,699 for the Pro. Shipping is expected to begin May 15. Apple AU typically doesn't offer any preorder deals but if you have an existing device you can trade in, you could save up to AU$825 on your new purchase.

Amazon AU:

Amazon AU: check the latest availability
Amazon Australia has already set up a massive store page with all the new iPads listed, although each one is shown as currently unavailable. We think that those models will become available to buy from May 15. While Amazon doesn't offer trade-in options, it's typically the best place to shop for an Apple device as you could find it for the best price, even brand-new releases.

JB Hi-Fi:

JB Hi-Fi: preorders open
Popular Aussie retailer JB Hi-Fi and kicked off its preorder campaign for the new iPad range, with shipping also commencing on May 15. There are no preorder offers to be had, but JB Hi-Fi has its own trade-in program that could see you save a little money. You can get a quote in-store or online.

With the new iPad Pro and iPad Air on the way, we could be about to see some big discounts on the previous models for those after a bargain. We're always on the lookout for the best iPad deals here at TechRadar so will share any we spot.

And considering Apple also confirmed that the iPad 10.9 is now going to start at the much cheaper price of $349 in the US, that could be a bargain pickup when it goes on sale. It's one we'll keep an eye on in this month's Memorial Day sales.

What about the new iPad accessories?

At this week's event, Apple also unveiled a new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil Pro that's compatible with both the new tablets. These accessories are also on sale now and will be delivered on the same day as the new iPads: May 15.

The Magic Keyboard costs $299 / £299 / AUS$499 for the 11-inch version and $349 / £349 / AUS$579 for the 13-inch version. The Apple Pencil Pro is $129 / £129 / AUS$219.
